Acting Company
Duke City Repertory Theatre is looking to expand our Resident Acting Company. Are you hungry to learn? Do you want to be better today than you were yesterday? Do you want to dive deeper into the craft of acting and explore your work in a practical acting laboratory? Would you like to grow and be challenged as an artist? Then you might be a good fit for the Resident Acting Company at DCRT. We are looking for brave, nervy artists that yearn to run towards the unknown. Previous experience working with DCRT is a plus but not required. A desire to learn and grow in your craft is a requirement. If this sounds like you, please email your headshot, resume and a cover letter (file name format: Jane/JohnDoeResume.pdf, Jane/JohnDoeHeadshot.jpg, etc) explaining why you think you and DCRT would be a good fit to Artistic Director Amelia Ampuero at amelia@dukecityrep.com.
Scenic, Lighting, and
Costume Designers:
DCRT is looking for imaginative, cost-conscious designers. We are looking for artists who can work with small budgets yet create work of great impact, enjoy working in highly collaborative environments, are self-motivated, and are masters of creative problem-solving. We often work in non-traditional performance spaces so the ability to think outside the box is a must. A desire to learn and grow in your craft is a requirement. Interested parties may submit resumes and portfolios (file name format: Jane/JohnDoeResume.pdf, etc) to Artistic Director Amelia Ampuero at amelia@dukecityrep.com.
Resident Technical Director:
We are looking for a jack or jill of all trades Resident Technical Director to build our sets, hang lights and be the link between the artists on-stage and off. Our Resident TD will work closely with Directors, Designers and Stage Managers to create a cohesive production from top to bottom. Applicants must have a strong desire to work in highly collaborative environments and non-traditional performance venues, be familiar with all design disciplines, know how to safely run a theatrical scenic shop, be highly organized, frugal, self-motivated and have the patience to work with crews and volunteers of all skill levels. A desire to learn and grow in your craft is a requirement. Interested parties should email their resumes and cover letter (file name format: Jane/JohnDoeResume.pdf, etc) to Artistic Director Amelia Ampuero at amelia@dukecityrep.com.
